Colorado Lions Camp near Woodland Park, Colorado is
for the enjoyment and experience of the visually
impaired, hearing impaired, and the develop -
mentally delayed.
It is a project of the Lions Clubs throughout the
State of Colorado. Each club, including ours,
sponsors a number of participants - paying
their tuition for a one week session at the camp
thereby relieving their parents of the financial
burden.
In addition, each club contributes to the upkeep
and maintenance of the camp.
This past year nearly 400 Colorado residents with
disabilities received a quality learning
experience. The main emphasis of the camp is to
teach independent living skills so as to enhance
the quality of their lives in the future.
